Discover Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom
Today is the day, pirates! Reservations are officially open for the highly anticipated The Beak and Barrel—Magic Kingdom’s brand-new pirate-themed lounge, launching this August 29, 2025, in Adventureland.
Why This Matters
This isn’t just another dining spot—it’s a historic first. Starting with the park’s 1971 debut, Magic Kingdom had no on-site bars until 2012. Now, Beak and Barrel becomes the very first dedicated lounge within the park itself.
What to Expect
Marvel at immersive storytelling throughout two themed rooms:
- “The Mess”: Community-style seating, shipwreck-inspired bar, and Rummy, the bar’s charming parrot host.
- Captain’s Quarters: Anchor yourself in lore with miniature bottled ships that come to life and naval décor.
Food & Drink Highlights
Disney’s first-look menu is a treasure chest:
- Cocktails: Think Salty Seas mARRRgarita, Plunderer’s Punch (complete with skull mug souvenir), Siren’s Whisper, Hibiscus Rum Punch Royale and more.
- Non-alcoholic delights: Treasure Trove (ube, lemon, coconut with treats) and Cursed Treasure (cookies & cream-inspired).
- Savory bites: Kraken’s Catch (octopus salad), Cook’s Corn Griddle Cakes, and Island Provisions shareable platter.
Reservation Details
- Reservations opened today, August 14, 2025—whether you’re a Disney Resort guest or a visiting buccaneer.
- Though some sources confirm this launch, others report system glitches:
- At 6 a.m. Eastern, reservations were supposed to go live.
- However, system crashes delayed availability. The app and website are back up, but Beak and Barrel reservations remain elusive for now. I had no luck grabbing any for my trip in Sep or Oct. 😢
What to Do Now
- Jump into My Disney Experience and check every few minutes—even if you hit an error, persistence pays.
- Keep an eye on standby reservation tools (like MouseWatcher or others)—past openings have filled in moments.
- Ready your pirate crew—each visit is limited to 45 minutes, with a two-drink max per guest to ensure smooth sailing for all.
Beak and Barrel is Magic Kingdom’s first in-park pirate lounge, opening soon, with reservations now available (as of August 14, 2025). Guests will be dazzled by its immersive decor, unique cocktails and bites, and lively characters like Rummy the Parrot. Spots are limited—book now before they disappear.
